Privacy Policy

Effective: April 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sentient Bean LLC, doing business as PayForItPro ("PayForItPro," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information. It applies to our website at payforitpro.com, the PayForItPro merchant dashboard, our APIs, and any related services (collectively, the "Services").

If you visit our website or sign up as a merchant, this policy describes how we handle your information. If you are a customer making a purchase from one of our merchants, the merchant — not PayForItPro — is the primary party responsible for your information; please review that merchant's own privacy policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: name, email, password, phone number.
  • Business information: legal business name, DBA, business type, EIN or tax ID (collected by Stripe, not stored by PayForItPro), industry, website, expected processing volume.
  • Address and contact details: business address, contact name, title, support email, and support phone.
  • Identity verification information: for compliance with know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering laws, Stripe collects government-issued identification and may verify it with third-party services. PayForItPro does not store this information; it is handled directly by Stripe.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, referring URLs, timestamps.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers.
  • Transaction metadata: dates, amounts, currencies, and status of transactions you process through the Services (but not cardholder data, which is handled by Stripe).
  • Log data: server logs, error reports, and security events.

Information from third parties

We receive information from Stripe about your Connected Account, including onboarding status, payout status, account balances, and risk or compliance flags. We may also receive information from analytics providers, fraud-prevention services, and publicly available sources.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  • Create and manage your account and verify your identity;
  • Process transactions, display them in your dashboard, and send related notifications;
  • Communicate with you about the Services, including verification emails, receipts, and security notices;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from government authorities;
  • Improve the Services and develop new features;
  • Provide customer support.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Stripe: we share information necessary to process payments and maintain your Connected Account. Stripe's use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.
  • With service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and fraud prevention providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with applicable law, subpoena, court order, or lawful government request; to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our users or the public; or to enforce our Terms.
  • In a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
  • With your consent: when you direct us to share information with a third party.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Services, and measure usage with Google Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Services.

5. Payment Card Information

PayForItPro does not collect, store, or process full payment card numbers, security codes, or bank account credentials. All cardholder data is submitted directly to Stripe, which is certified as a PCI-DSS Level 1 service provider. PayForItPro only receives payment tokens and transaction metadata from Stripe.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records are typically retained for at least seven years to meet tax, audit, and anti-money-laundering requirements. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), password hashing with Argon2id, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and access controls. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Opt out of marketing email (every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link; transactional emails are required for service operation and cannot be opted out of while your account is active);
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority where applicable.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@payforitpro.com. We will respond within the time required by law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) you have the rights listed above. We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the dashboard and update the "Effective" date above. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact Us
